What Is Somatic Experiencing®?
Somatic Experiencing® (SE) assists one in recovering from traumatic events that limit our ability to function. The traumatic event may have been an accident, an operation, a natural disaster, a loss, accumulated stress or other experiences. Many people identify it simply as overwhelm at first, however our body often gets caught in the acute stress pattern and chronic stress results. SE uses the mind-body connection to relieve the trauma, restore your ability to adjust to stress and enable you to live a full and active life.
